According to the Central Association for Sanitation, Heating and Air Conditioning, there is currently a shortage of around 60,000 heating installers in Germany.

This figure would result if all markets were to be served and the focus was not only on the installation of new heating systems, said Helmut Bramann, the association’s managing director, to the newspapers of the Funke-Mediengruppe.
